Strategic Transport Planning – NZTA Board workshop slides (June 2026)

Part of: Rapid transit evidence →

Slides used at the NZTA Board's June 2026 strategic transport planning workshop, covering Queenstown's challenges, the preferred strategic approach (best use of infrastructure, moving more people in less space, active demand management, and innovative funding and delivery) and phasing. The two-corridor slide states 'Long term: Offline PT (e.g. gondola) is the only remaining viable option' for the Frankton to Town Centre corridor, and the phasing slide notes modelling that time-of-use charging could reduce volumes by 10–15%.
