NZUP Queenstown – briefing memo to the General Manager Transport Services (10 March 2023)

Internal NZTA (Waka Kotahi) memo of 10 March 2023 on the status of the NZ Upgrade Programme Queenstown package. It reports a significant gap between the Alliance's estimate at 30% design and the independent estimate (figures withheld), and concludes that continuing the reconciliation has no merit given the scale of the difference. It identifies a likely preferred reduced option: the SH6/SH6A (BP) intersection, the Frankton bus hub expansion and the Howards Drive roundabout.
